Experience Overview
Welcome to Dwellingup: Murray’s Embrace, Forest & Water Renewal, a restorative half-day experience where the towering Jarrah forests and pristine waters of the Murray River invite you to reconnect with nature in a deeply rejuvenating way.
This five-hour guided immersion takes you through the heart of Lane Poole Reserve, a sanctuary of ancient woodlands, winding rivers, and secluded rock pools, offering a serene escape into nature’s embrace.
Led by Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide and Eco Therapist Chelle Fisher, this journey encourages you to slow down, breathe deeply, and awaken your senses through the practice of Forest Therapy. As you meander along shaded trails, surrounded by towering Jarrah and Marri trees, you’ll be invited to engage in mindful breathing, grounding exercises, and sensory awareness practices, allowing you to feel deeply connected to the rhythm of the land.
The journey leads to the tranquil banks of the Murray River, where the cool, flowing waters provide the perfect setting for cold-water immersion, a practice known to invigorate the body and calm the mind. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to dip your feet or submerge yourself in the refreshing waters, letting the gentle current wash away tension and restore your inner balance. For those seeking further connection, barefoot walking along the river’s edge enhances sensory awareness, grounding you in the present moment.
The experience culminates with a nourishing riverside gathering, where we will enjoy a bush tucker inspired morning tea featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. As you sip and savor the flavors of nature, you’ll have time for reflection, storytelling, and shared connection, allowing the beauty of the forest and river to leave a lasting imprint on your soul.
Join us for this immersive retreat into the ancient forests and healing waters of Dwellingup, where the embrace of the land and river provides a truly transformative experience.
