Oh I do love me a good selection of colour on a rainy Autumn day😍

Grateful to have been able to #getoutdoors this morning and attend the Banksia Farm open garden day, home to the world`s only Banksia collection right here in Amazing South Coast🌏

Set amongst 10 acres, a flora lovers delight with 79 species of Banksias as well as Dryandra and other Australian plants, birds and frogs😳

Kevin & Kathy Collins have done an amazing job and I feel absolutely blessed to be able to explore such beauty. The famous botanic gardens are now only available to houseguests staying at the luxury adult retreat, botany students and members of the Banksia Study Group by appointment, or if your lucky you might just be able to check it out on of the Open Days😄

Happy Mothers Day to all the amazing women in our lives... the mothers, the mother in laws, the nannas, the great nannas & granmothers, the step mums, the foster mums, the mums to be, the grieving mums, those left with nothing but memories of their mums, those who play the mum role, dog mums, cat mums, roo mums..........ALL kinds of mums😍

An Open Letter to Mother Nature🍃 Because it writes better than anything I could ever come up with, but articulates exactly how I feel about the one who has shaped me into the woman I am today🙏

Dear Mother Nature,

I feel so blessed to have you in my life. Since the moment I entered the earth you’ve always been there. I know I can always count on you. You bring me light and joy, delights and pleasures.  You take me to the highest heights and the deepest depths.   Your vibrant colors of rock, flora, sky, and water fill my world with wonder and happiness.  Today, on Mother’s Day I want to thank you for all you’ve done for me.

Thank you for meeting all of my physical needs.

From food to clothing, to shelter and warmth, you provide my livelihood and my life.

Thank you for always being there for me.

I can always count on you.  Day in with the sunrise and day out with the sunsets, you are a constant in an ever-changing world.

Thank you for listening to me.

How many times on the trail, near the lake or staring at a sunset, have I poured my heart out?  I plead, cry, agonize, complain, praise or glorify to your ever listening ear. I know if I need to clear my head, getting back to Mother Earth is essential.

Thank you for inspiring me.

Inspiration is the first step in creation.  As I am inspired by you, I can create and add value and goodness to the world around me.

Thank you for showing me the way.

Whether its the trails to the top of a mountain, to a waterfall,  or to the ocean you always show the way to something new and magnificent.  Around every bend is a surprise for the eyes.  This mimics my own trails of life with ups, downs, and obstacles in the way.  And yet, you always show the way to another glorious vista.
