Sunrise Wildlife & Wetlands

Kayaking Tour

Tour Overview

Welcome to the Sunrise, Wildlife & Wetlands Kayaking Tour, an invigorating way to embrace the early morning beauty of Mandurah’s unique wetlands.

Led by Certified Kayaking Guide Chelle Fisher, this 90-minute adventure offers an unforgettable experience as you paddle through dynamic waterways at dawn, a time when the wetlands come alive with vibrant sights and sounds. Your journey begins with a gentle launch into the water, bathed in the soft glow of first light. We’ll paddle past the peaceful Samphire Cove Nature Reserve wetlands, an important ecosystem where the hardy samphire plant supports a diverse array of wildlife. Navigating through the scenic Mandurah Estuary, we’ll make our way toward Osprey Waters Reserve, often catching glimpses of ospreys in flight as the sun rises on a new day.

On the return paddle, we’ll pass by Soldiers Cove, soaking in the stillness of the morning. As you glide along, keep an eye out for playful Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins swimming nearby, iconic black swans, and a variety of waterbirds like pelicans and cormorants resting along the banks or soaring above.

Throughout the tour, you’ll be invited to consciously engage your senses, encouraging mindfulness and a renewed appreciation for the energy and beauty of the wetlands. These nature therapy prompts will help you slow down, breathe deeply, and fully immerse yourself in the moment, offering a refreshing and grounding way to start your day. This tour provides a gentle fitness boost that will leave you feeling energized and ready for the day ahead.

Upon returning to our launch zone, you’ll be treated to a pre-ordered barista-made coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, paired with a delicious breakfast muffin from a local café—a perfect way to relax, reflect, and savor the morning’s adventure.

Ideal for nature enthusiasts, adventure seekers, or anyone looking to experience Mandurah from a unique perspective, the Sunrise, Wildlife & Wetlands Kayaking Tour offers an inspiring escape into the heart of the wetlands.

Join us for a sunrise paddle that promises not only exploration but a deeper connection with Mandurah’s stunning landscapes and wildlife.
