Day 1 | (Departing 6:00am) | From Forest Giants to the River of Reflection
Our journey begins as we leave Perth behind and head south into the soul-stirring landscapes of the Great Southern. A warm welcome awaits with coffee and treats at the beloved Barking Cow Café in Bridgetown, before we continue on to the Walpole Wilderness. Here, the ancient Giant Tingle Tree offers our first moment of awe, an emblem of strength, resilience, and time. We pause for a forest picnic, surrounded by the stillness and grandeur of these majestic giants, before launching into a 9km paddle along the serene Frankland River. As we trace the gentle curves of the River of Reflection towards Coalmine Beach, the water invites us to slow down, breathe deeply, and arrive fully into this adventure. We take time to explore the coastal serenity of Swarbrick Jetty and the Knoll Scenic Drive before settling into the comfort of Bayside Villas, our accommodation for the night. An afternoon tea offers a sweet pause before our evening journey into Mount Frankland National Park. There, the Caldyanup Trail and Summit lead us through sweeping granite outcrops, ancient karri forests, and to the panoramic Towermans Lookout - where the vast Walpole Wilderness stretches in every direction. We end the day with dinner at the local Walpole Hotel Restaurant, returning to our villas to unwind and reflect under the Southern sky.
Day 2 | (Departing 7:30am) | Clifftops, Canopies & Coastal Calm
We begin the day with one of the most spectacular coastal hikes in Western Australia, a full immersion into the wild beauty of the Bibbulmun Track. Setting out from the dramatic limestone formations of Conspicuous Cliffs, we follow the winding trail through rolling sand dunes, peppermint woodlands, and sweeping coastal heath toward the sheltered shores of Peaceful Bay. Over the course of six hours, this stretch of trail offers a moving meditation, where the rhythm of footfall and breath aligns with the pulse of the landscape. Towering views of the Southern Ocean accompany us, while opportunities for cold-water immersion, forest bathing, and quiet reflection present themselves at every turn. Springtime often brings vibrant wildflowers and, if we’re lucky, the sight of whales making their annual migration along the coast. After a nourishing morning tea and trail-side lunch, we make our way to the iconic Valley of the Giants for a gentle afternoon wander among the treetops. Suspended walkways offer a bird’s-eye view of the ancient tingle forest, while the soft forest floor below invites slow steps and sensory presence among trees that have stood for over 400 years. As the sun begins to dip, we arrive at Parry Beach Estate, our home for the next two nights. Nestled among rolling hills and native bushland, this peaceful haven provides a perfect space to rest and restore. The evening unfolds with an in-house meal and relaxed time to reconnect, reflect, and soak in the stillness of the surrounding landscape.
Day 3 | (Departing 8:55am) | Coastal Treasures & Forest Whispers
The day begins with an optional sunrise wander to the secluded Hillier Beach, a local treasure known for its abundance of seashells and quiet beauty - the ideal setting for peaceful beachcombing and mindful reflection as the first light touches the ocean’s edge. Following a hearty in-house breakfast, we venture into the coastal wonderlands of William Bay National Park. Crystal-clear waters await at Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks, inviting you to swim, snorkel, or simply bask in the serenity of these granite-sheltered coves. From there, we visit Madfish Bay, crowned Australia’s Best Beach in 2024, for a refreshing morning tea and more stunning seascapes. Our journey then turns to local indulgence with visits to Bartholomew’s Meadery, Denmark Chocolate Factory, and Duckett’s Mill. From honey tastings to artisan chocolate and a relaxed grazing-style lunch paired with wine and cheese, this is a flavour-filled celebration of the region’s best. In the afternoon, we slow the pace with a gentle forest therapy walk along the Harewood Forest Trail, a chance to reconnect with the natural world through sensory presence and quiet exploration. We then explore the charming town of Denmark, taking time to stroll the river foreshore, before winding down with an ocean therapy experience at peaceful Lights Beach. As the sun sets on our final evening in the region, we gather at The Dam at Raintree for a wholesome dining experience overlooking the karri forest. We return to Parrys Estate for one more night, hearts full and senses nourished.
Day 4 | (Departing 7:55am) | Mountain Murmurs, Ocean Whispers
After a gentle start and a nourishing in-house breakfast, we venture onto the legendary Bibbulmun Track once more, this time ascending Mount Hallowell. With ancient granite beneath our feet and sweeping coastal views all around, we pass the sculptural beauty of Monkey Rock, feeling the whispers of wind and earth in this rugged yet serene landscape. From mountaintop to sea level, we head to the Prawn Rock Channel, its crystalline blues inviting, but only if the tides and timing allow. After a refreshing swim (conditions permitting), we pause for a relaxed lunch at Denmark Bakery before making our way toward Albany. The afternoon is a soulful blend of ocean therapy and gentle exploration - Anvil Beach, Shelley Beach Lookout, and Mutton Bird Beach offer moments to breathe deeply, reflect, and simply be. Afternoon tea by the sea carries us into the evening, where we check in to our Albany Bayside accommodation and enjoy a beautiful dinner at Due South. The night closes with a quiet nod of gratitude - an unspoken tribute to the landscapes, and to those who’ve inspired the journey.
Day 5 | (Departing 6:40am) | River Reverence, Coastal Grace
Begin the day gently with an optional sunrise swim and meditation at Middleton Beach, nestled at the foot of Mount Adelaide and beloved by locals for its peaceful energy and breathtaking light. We then enjoy breakfast at the vibrant Three Anchors, where locally sourced ingredients nourish us for the journey ahead. The morning unfolds on the ancient Kalgan River, one of the oldest rivers on Earth. A 10km paddle upstream offers a meditative rhythm, surrounded by towering trees and rich stories of the land. After working up an appetite, we head to Monty’s Leap - a stunning winery perched along the river - for wine tasting and one of the region’s most exquisite dining experiences. The afternoon calls us to explore the wild beauty of Two Peoples Bay, with its untouched shores and hidden gems like Waterfall Beach, a secluded spot where the forest meets the sea. Later, we walk the historic short Mount Adelaide Nature Trail, home to the Princess Royal Fortress and a fascinating labyrinth of wartime bunkers and gun emplacements overlooking the harbour. To complete the day, we wander along the Ellen Cove Boardwalk to the weathered ruins of Point King Lighthouse, the second lighthouse built in WA and once a beacon for the Port of Albany. A casual but award-winning dinner at Ocean and Paddock wraps up the evening with fresh seafood and hearty local fare, before returning to Albany Bayside Villas for a well-earned rest.
Day 6 | (Departing 4:15am) | Where Land Ends, the Wild Begins
We rise before first light for our final adventure - an unforgettable hike along the Bald Head Trail, often regarded as the premier hiking trail in Western Australia. This 12km return journey traverses the rugged spine of the Flinders Peninsula, offering dramatic views over the Southern Ocean and King George Sound. As we take our time along this challenging but rewarding trail, expect a symphony of coastal winds, flourishing wildflowers, possible whale sightings, and endless photo opportunities, each step a deepening connection with the raw, untamed edge of the world. After completing the trail, we visit Misery Beach, awarded Australia’s best beach in 2022. With its powder-white sand, turquoise waters, and sculpted granite formations, it offers one last moment of ocean reverence and quiet beauty. We enjoy a well-deserved lunch oceanside at Frenchman Bay, soaking in the serenity before beginning our journey back to Perth. But not before one final awe-inspiring stop: The Gap and Natural Bridge in Torndirrup National Park. Here, we stand at the edge of towering granite cliffs, where the Southern Ocean surges with untamed power through dramatic coastal formations, a fitting finale to an expedition shaped by wild beauty and elemental force. We return to Perth with a brief stop in Williams to stretch, refuel, and savour the last leg of our adventure - our hearts full, our spirits expanded, and our connection to country deeply renewed.

This adventure is designed to be challenging yet achievable for anyone with a moderate level of fitness and a sense of adventure.
The hiking components are moderate and, with a little training, accessible to most people. While some hiking experience can be beneficial, it’s not essential as we will guide you from start to finish to ensure you feel confident and well-equipped. Our pace is steady and enjoyable, allowing time to truly appreciate the landscape rather than rushing to the destination.
The paddling component requires a bit more endurance, as we cover over 19km along the Frankland & Kalgan River. While the river itself provides a calm and sheltered environment, the distance can seem daunting to those new to paddling. However, we take regular breaks, and you’ll be paddling in double kayaks, meaning you’ll have a partner to share the effort, helping to ease the challenge and keep the journey enjoyable.
This experience is about immersing yourself in nature, not racing through it. If you have a willing spirit and an adventurous mindset, you’re more than capable of embracing and completing this journey!
