Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Serpentine River and its surrounding landscapes with this exciting paddle and hike adventure, part of the Family Adventure Collective's school holiday program.
This unique experience combines a 3km paddle along the tranquil Serpentine River and a 4km hike on the scenic Joseph & Dulcie Nannup Trail, offering the perfect mix of outdoor exploration and family fun.
As you journey through this stunning natural setting, you’ll have the chance to spot an array of flora and fauna, from vibrant wildflowers to majestic trees. Keep an eye out for the friendly local Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins that often grace the river with their playful presence, as well as the abundance of birdlife that calls this area home.
Guided by our experienced team and youth outdoor adventure leaders, this activity is designed to inspire a connection to nature while encouraging physical activity and resilience. Along the way, you’ll uncover the rich history and natural wonders of the region, making it a truly enriching adventure for the whole family.
Whether you’re an experienced adventurer or trying something new, the Serpentine River Paddle and Hike is an inclusive event suitable for all skill levels. Equipment for the paddle is provided, so all you need to bring is your sense of adventure, comfortable shoes, and a readiness to make unforgettable memories.

Quick details
Tour length and difficulty: Easy hiking experience 4km, & paddling experience 3km
We supply: All equipment, Scenic nature walk, Scenic paddling experience, family team building activities, safety briefing and professional guide/s.
Meeting point: Riverside Gardens Foreshore, Mandurah. The tour ends at the same point.
Time: 9.00am start, 12.00pm finish approx (Please allow extra time if possible)
Cost: $95 covers 1 parent and 1 child. $45 per extra persons (Suitable ages 8 & over.)

Please allow plenty of travel time getting to your destination. We will meet at Riverview Gardens Foreshore, Mandurah
Please note: A drop-off/pick-up service is not available and customers are required to find their
own transport to and from this tour.

Trail length & difficulty
This is a very easy hiking & paddling experience. Paddle - 3kms, Hike - 4kms.
What happens if it rains?
In the unfortunate event that rain or bad weather is forecast or occurs, we will reschedule the experience to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for all participants.
Toilet & Parking facilities
Toilets are available at the start and end of the tour experience.
Plenty of parking is available in the vicinity. I have personally never had issues here but a reminder to never leave valuables in your car.
Is the tour child friendly
For the consideration of all participants, the minimum age for this activity is 8 years old.
