School Holiday Activity Overview
Get ready for an unforgettable experience at Yalgorup National Park designed specifically for families with young explorers aged 8 to 12!
The National Park EcoExplorers program takes families on an exciting journey through the park's diverse landscapes, where they'll not only discover the wonders of nature but also develop crucial outdoor survival skills and a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship.
Throughout the adventure, learn how to identify and navigate trails, using natural markers to understand the environment around them. They’ll explore the park’s unique flora and fauna, learning how to observe wildlife respectfully, ensuring they don’t disrupt the delicate ecosystems. In addition, participants will engage in hands-on activities that teach them Leave No Trace principles, encouraging them to be mindful of their impact on the environment and leave the park as beautiful as they found it.
The program is led by passionate youth leaders who guide the young explorers through fun challenges, helping them develop teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills. As they work together, they’ll complete outdoor tasks, observe nature, and gain confidence in their ability to navigate the natural world. The activity will be packed with exciting moments designed to foster resilience, a love for the outdoors, and an awareness of the importance of preserving our environment for future generations.
By the end of the adventure, participants will have gained practical skills in trail identification, wildlife observation, and eco-friendly practices, all while having a blast outdoors. This adventure is the perfect opportunity for kids to connect with nature in a hands-on, educational, and fun way.
