Tour Overview

As your Eco Certified Kayaking Guide, we invite you to join us on an immersive exploration of Western Australia's rich history as we paddle through the Riverside Ramble: Paddle & Pastoral Tales of the Murray kayaking tour.

Departing from the scenic South Yunderup launch site, our journey navigates the Murray River, a pristine waterway, the longest permanent river in the Jarrah Forest, and one of few remaining in Australia that remains undammed. Adorned with charming homes, houseboats, and a tapestry of wild flora and fauna, our paddle along the Murray unveils tales of heritage and natural splendor. Venture up to Coolenup Island, where a stop at the Heritage Island site invites a brief walking tour of Cooper's Mill, a beautifully restored wind-driven mill accessible solely by boat.

We then paddle over to Meeyip Island where our quest for wildlife encounters and sightings of the local resident dolphins heightens the thrill of our adventure. The return journey along the Murray presents ample opportunities to marvel at the area's diverse wildlife and tranquil scenery, reflecting on a bygone era.

Join us for a day of discovery and immersion in the storied past and natural splendor along the magnificent Murray River.
